Spacious 4BR Family Home w/ Garden in Pymble

Disappointing stay. Many things need fixing. Positive: Close to our meetings. Beds were clean and comfortable. Sadly the rest of it was pretty disappointing. Negative: It was a very cold house with all hard floors and older windows so it was difficult to get it warm. Downstairs smelt musty and damp the whole time. Two large dehumidifiers had to be emptied several times it was so damp. No television in the living area (upstairs). There was an overwhelming damp smell and mould patches in the downstairs wardrobe, kitchen window etc. Main lights in bedroom didn’t work and the side light was at the end of the bed as there was no plug socket or bedside table next to the bed. Nowhere comfortable to sit in the main lounge as there was a small formal seat and two formal chairs. Internet didn’t work and we were told it needed to be re-booted with instructions that didn’t match the router. It was also suggested it was because we’d been on it for a while - even though it never worked since we arrived. Despite this it didn’t work our whole stay. The driveway is treacherous to drive up. Incredibly narrow, slippery when wet and only a small turning area at the top - if your wheels come off the narrow track your car drops down off the driveway in the middle and the undercarriage is damaged. The automatic garage door stopped working and we were told it would be looked at after we checked out. We had to leave it open at night, which compromised our safety. The internal door to the garage wouldn’t lock so the house was unlocked at night. There were no tissues, paper towel, glad wrap, salt or pepper or oil, teabags, coffee etc. Nothing. Finally, whilst this is not the fault of the owner, the house next door was being bulldozed and scooped up into massive skips so that kicked off at 7am each day right next to the single pane windows.
